Nicole Richie just came out of an L.A. courtroom where she was sentenced to her December 11, 2006 arrest for driving under the influence of drugs. Nicole’s sentence is 90 hours in jail, which she may serve in either a county or city lockup, and a fine of $2048.
Ms. Richie was found asleep in her Mercedes in the carpool lane of a Burbank freeway when she was arrested. She told police at her arrest that she was under the influence of Marijuana, and Vicodin. She has until September 28, to complete her sentence. At least she will be out before the kid is born. Nicole was accompanied to the courthouse by Joel Madden, her boyfriend and lead singer of the band “Good Charlotte.” Mr. Madden is rumored to be the father of Ms. Richies baby.
